IT 4 Business Boot camp: Hands-on seminar for MS Sharepoint and OSS business solutions
The International Hellenic University offers a unique opportunity for a free, hands-on training seminar for developing a series of business solutions, using a variety of software tools. The solutions include:
- Content Management System (CMS),
- Reporting,
- Document Management System (DMS),
- Business Intelligence (BI),
- Webforms,
- Enterprise Resource System (ERP),
- eLearning and
- Customer Relationship Management (CRM).
No programming skills are required, however you will learn to think as a developer and you will learn how to deliver projects of highest standards with proprietary software, namely MS Sharepoint, and Open Source Software (OSS) tools including the Bitnami platform and tools like Wordpress, Prestashop and Suite CRM. The pros and cons of each solution will be discussed and the participants will develop their own applications to cover specific business needs.
All participants will get a free, one-year valid, student Microsoft account from SCORM.GR (a training partner of Microsoft). Each account will be used in the seminar workshops and will continue to provide for a full year a training testbed for attendees.

Presentation at a glance:
This paper looks at whether companies try to manage their market capitalization through share issues (or reduced share repurchases) so as to get into or remain within the FTSE 100 index. We argue that there are many advantages for firms of being part of the index (not least from attention of tracker funds), and as the rules for membership are clear, do companies try to manage the process so as to get into the index?.
