Big data, data analytics, personal data, open data, linked data, metadata, data journalism, data science, data infrastructures….and many other phrases on “data” surround us daily!
The new economic reality is influenced largely by online data and their various applications.
The Data Economy workshop will try to establish a dialogue between the various scientific approaches by focusing on the question of how online data transform the economy and entrepreneurship and are transformed by them. The detailed programme can be found below:

The Data Economy workshop will be held in the context of the Internet Science Conference on 22 November 2017 at the Center for Research and Technology-Hellas (CERTH) in Thessaloniki. The workshop is co-organised by the Software and Knowledge Engineering Laboratory of the National Centre for Scientific Research “Demokritos”, the International Hellenic University, Fraunhofer Institute, Aachen University and the University of Thessaly. It is supported by the Open Data Institute Athens of the Open Technologies Alliance and funded by the project Your Data Stories.
Keynote speakers are Daniele Rizzi, Policy Officer at the European Commission and Nikos Loutas, executive at PwC.
