Main objective of the summer school is to provide an in-depth training in all aspects of high performance computing for Energy Conversion Applications. The participants (early stage researchers, engineers or practitioners) will be introduced to the principles of Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD). Focus will be placed on understanding the multi-scale nature of energy conversion processes and the various numerical methods available for their optimization. The physics of thermo-fluids as well as the governing equations (continuity, momentum, energy and species conservation) and state of the art CFD including modelling, grid generation, simulation will be covered. The participants will be able to analyze case studies of various energy conversion applications by employing computational tools.
Applicants are required to submit an online registration form. Read More
