The presentations are offered primarily to the students of the IHU MSc Banking and Finance and MSc in International Accounting, Auditing and Financial Management but other IHU students with a keen interest in Banking and Finance or International Accounting and Auditing matters are also welcome.
Short bio of the speaker
Mr. Pahinis is a risk professional with 30 years of experience in various aspects of risk identification, management, and mitigation. Currently, he is the Director of Risk Management at the Black Sea Trade and Development Bank, a position he has held since the Bank’s inception in 1999, and which provided him with the unique experience of having to set up from scratch the risk management framework for a multilateral development bank. Previously, Mr. Pahinis worked as a Senior Political Risk Analyst for the Government of Canada’s export credit agency, EDC, and as a commissioned officer within the Canadian Armed Forces. He holds a BA from Concordia University (Canada) and an MSc (Distinction) from Sheffield University (UK).
