Our client, a traditional Greek Shipping Company with long and successful presence in Greek and International Shipping Market of more than 60 years, is currently seeking to recruit a dynamic, motivated and high-calibre professional for the position of Senior Investment Analyst.

The position

The ideal candidate will be expected to:

• Coordinate and implement the company’s investment strategy in order to ensure the best possible return on investment
• Apply valuation techniques and conduct in-depth reviews of company's financial position with regards to future aims
• Continuously track market movements gathering information and conducting relevant reports in order to maximize assets value and/or minimize financial risk exposure
• Predict how markets of interest will move and act accordingly
• Prepare announcements of the Company’s quarterly results and the accompanying presentations
• Advise company’s Top Management on investment plans/opportunities and risk management strategies
• Support management in their communications with the investment community in both Greece and overseas
• Maintain awareness of the views of analysts, shareholders and potential investors and communicate the information internally

The candidate

The ideal candidate will be expected to possess the following:

• University Degree in Applied Sciences preferably in Finance, Mathematics or Statistics combined with a postgraduate degree obtained from a prominent university
• 5-7 years of relevant professional experience at a prominent Bank or any other dynamic financial institution part of which within a shipping finance dpt. of a leading International Bank
• Relevant international experience is a prerequisite
• A strong understanding of the financial capital markets and a broad exposure to institutional investors
• Excellent presentation skills
• Excellent command of the English language
• Strong IT skills (Excel and Power Point), good knowledge of financial modeling as well as excellent experience in working with spreadsheets
• Financial and commercial literacy, strong numerical and oral communication/ interpersonal skills
• Proactive and flexible personality
