The School of Technology
The School’s is to offer both undergraduate and postgraduate studies to meet the ongoing technological needs of SE Europe based on :
- Pursuit of Excellence
- Innovation
- Social Progress
- Environmental Protection
The innovative character of these programmes derives from the interdisciplinary content of the curricula incorporating a broad spectrum of technological knowledge combining: Legal, Social and Economic (i.e. humanistic) implications:
Excellence will be ensured by the proper synthesis of:
- Curricula
- Selection of the best educators
- Cooperation with the most active European research teams
- Respective qualifications of the students
Social progress will be pursued through a School – Industry linkage of applied research projects focusing on technological progress and better quality of life in the Health, Transport and Communication sectors.
The significance of environmental protection will be emphasized in the study and research programmes in:
- Technology of sustainable management of natural resources at international level
- Preservation of the environment
- Preservation of the natural nutritional and therapeutic resources of the SE Europe area
- Integrated management of the Mediterranean Sea and its coastal zones.
The School will provide a sophisticated IT infrastructure and use Informatics intensively with a view towards sustaining the quality and efficiency of the education and research provided.
The School will be linked to all major databases and international libraries and will extend its programmes to include distance learning and courses aimed at providing life-long learning opportunities.
