The International Hellenic University has been a member of the Greek Chapter of the Club of Rome since October 2012. The latter institution is a leading force in the promotion of sustainable policies as the foundation for business development, for the creation of new social standards and for the promotion of new levels of cooperation. In this context and wanting to actively respond to the dictates of the contemporary socio-economic reality, the International University is organizing an event entitled:
Dealing with the Limits to Growth in Times of Crisis

The event will take place on Friday, 8 November 2013, at 6:15 pm (arrival time 6:00 pm) in the Auditorium of the International Hellenic University.
There will be a free bus transport service to and from the International Hellenic University from downtown Thessaloniki (in front of the main entrance of the University of Macedonia). Time of departure is 17.15 (please arrive before that - priority will be given on a first come first served basis).

Prof. Dr. Dr.Franz Josef Radermacher
CV (short version)
Franz Josef Radermacher is a professor in Data Bases and Artificial Intelligence at the University of Ulm and Director of FAW/n (Research Institute for Applied Knowledge Processing/n), Ulm.
He is a member of the Club of Rome and of several national and international advisory boards as well as President of the Senat der Wirtschaft e.V. (Senate of the Economy), Bonn, President of the Global Economic Network (GEN), Vienna, and Vice President of the Ecosocial Forum Europe, Vienna.
His awards include the 1997 Scientific Award of the German Society for Mathematics, Economics and Operations Research; 2005 Laureate of the Salzburg Award for Future Research, Salzburg, Austria; 2007 Laureate of “Vision Award 2007“ of the Global Economic Network (for the Global Marshall Plan |Initiative); 2007 Laureate of Karl-Werner-Kieffer Award (Stiftung Ökologie und Landbau, SÖL). He is a member of the Rotarian Action Group for Population & Development (RFPD) - German Section - e.V. and of the German National Committee of the UNESCO for the World Decade “Education for Sustainable Development“ (2005 – 2014). In 2012, he received the Laureate of the Umweltpreis Goldener Baum“ der Stiftung für Ökologie und Demokratie e.V. 2013. He is a Fellow to the World Academy of Art & Science (WAAS).
