Professor Costas Grammenos, one of the 100 most influential personalities in the global shipping industry according to the Lloyd's List Top 100, is the focus of one of the series of programmes by the Greek television channel ET1 dedicated to distinguished Greek personalities around the world.

Professor of Shipping Finance at Cass Business School London, founder of the International Centre for Shipping, Trade and Finance which bears his name, and Chairman of the International Hellenic University, Professor Grammenos has twice been honoured by the Queen of England with the titles first of Officer and then of Commander of the British Empire, awards made for his services to teaching and research.

His innovations in the field of maritime finance made him an internationally recognised academic, one who has taught a whole generation of students coming from 110 countries. Many of his students have become high-standing executives, not to say household names, in the fields of shipping, industry and finance, and are responsible for implementing in practice his financial analyses at some of the world’s top international financial institutions.

The television tribute was broadcast last June on ET1. You can watch it here (in Greek).
